The Art and the Craft – Transactional Analysis for workplace dynamics
Recently I face some challenges. In the organizational development space, facing challenges for me practically means there is movement in what I do, this is one way that I cultivate resilience. Nonetheless, every now and then I face new types of challenges that sparks insights or prompts me to look for patterns and phycological theories that help me make sense of the patterns. This time it is Transactional Analysis (TA) that particularly came to my mind. I use TA in my coaching sessions if the coachee’s situation reflects non-symbiosis or unhealthy symbiosis. Having the awareness of our own state will also support us in analyzing our workplace interactions. These interactions together will form the workplace culture.
